The situation is that I only hit nearly 20,000 accesses.

I’m not sure what I was doing. —— That’s my feeling (^^;

If the access log is only displayed 100 lines, it will be ended within a day.

According to Jetpack, there were 11 visitors this month, 21 page views, and the top page was viewed 9 times. Because I pretended to have unauthorized access from other PCs, many other pages were viewed. The number of visitors decreased while I was talking about hackers (^^;.

Strong claim against hackers might bring a preventive effect.

Windows rejected my computer

In the middle of June, there was a regular Windows update, and when I updated it without thinking, my Internet connection suddenly started to malfunction. And I received an incomprehensible message saying , ” There are two Internet connections “. Actually, my Wi-Fi3 ( ! ) has two streams ( two antennas ), and I use them simultaneously to make it equivalent to 5GHz.

Then my PC was no longer able to connect to the Internet, and only the browser cache was displayed as like afterimage.

I measured it. I had to use it, otherwise I couldn’t finish my work. I opened the Wi-Fi settings from the Internet, checked the settings, and reconnected. I was able to use the Internet again. It took me a whole day to measure it. It took longer because I had to go to work. I was able to access the internet even when using two streams.

However, when I got home, I received another special message from windows. . .

It said, ” Security cannot be guaranteed in your environment “.

What the heck !!!

Actually, the encryption of Wi-Fi3 is AES ( Advanced Encryption Standard ) but the security certification is WPA2 ( Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 ). WPA3 uses a different code for each stream, but WPA2 uses a single code. If one stream will be decrypted, other streams are decrypted as well (^^;.
However, if Wi-Fi is hacked, it isn’t likely turned into a free Wi-Fi like, which all streams can be viewed. The encryption of AES is there. It changes the code periodically, so there needs to decrypt it frequently. It is said to be impossible to decrypt actually.

In short, I cannot understand what Windows said.

But I will buy a new Wi-Fi

I think Windows intends to reject not only the old computers but also the old Wi-Fies. So I decided to buy a new Wi-Fi.

It’s also good time to try out new Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi 7 is. Very big.

It’s almost a robot (^^;.

In a big chain store, it costs 64,000 yen.

Expensive !

I will buy Wi-Fi 6.

It’s supposed to be no problem if the encryption is AES + WPA2 or higher. After that, it is only depended on the speed.

But I don’t play online games, so it doesn’t matter it will be slow. I can watch YouTube without any problems with Wi-Fi3. There aren’t any Wi-Fi5 which certifications are WPA3, so I will buy a mesh Wi-Fi. It’s over-spec for My PC because it doesn’t support WPA3, but it’s no problem because any Wi-Fi has backward compatible.

The price is 10,000 yen.

Very cheap. I can buy it for less than 1/3 price of my Wi-Fi3 (^^;.

Thanks to Wi-Fi 7.

It’s also hot Wi-Fi6e which costs only 20,000 yen, but it’s over-spec as well. I will choose the extremely cheapest one. I bought a mesh Wi-Fi which has the least signal. It costs 10,000 yen only. There were Wi-Fies which costs 5,000 yen only, but I did not choose them because they weren’t the same company with my Wi-Fi3.

Now, it looks a good time to buy mesh Wi-Fi.

Set up mesh Wi-Fi

I can migrate the setting from Wi-Fi3 to Wi-Fi6 easily, because of same company’s products.

About an hour work is.

I didn’t receive any error messages from Windows. Well done.

Check the speed.

Wi-Fi 3
Wi-Fi 6

I got the same results because both use same connection (^^;.

Then I accessed the Wi-Fi settings from the Internet, and checked them. The encryption format was ” TKIP/AES ” and the certification method was ” WPA/WPA2 personal “. Old methods were there, which my Wi-Fi3 was not used (*_*). However, after updating the driver, it changes to ” AES ” and ” WPA2 personal “.

This update is for installing firmware such as netblockers, so it’s not likely needed to update it. Even at Wi-Fi3, there’s no way to change the encryption and certification method ( Wi-Fi automatically selects it ), this Wi-Fi6 is, too. If these Wi-Fies will be hacked, there is no risk that the security is removed from the Internet.

Although I don’t have to configure the mesh function in my house, the connection became unstable when I stopped it, so I did not stop it. It seems that the mesh function automatically selects the 2.4GHz or 5GHz stream, so the communication would become impossible when Wi-Fi is not set by 5GHz. But it’s not sure. I also tried to connect to 5GHz with my smartphone, but it failed, either. It is supposed because it doesn’t support 5G, however, the speed is 86Mbps, which is faster than my computer !

I did not use wired LAN, either. There is no mention about encrypted communication. To think logically, the wired LAN does not need encrypted communication, so it might not support.

The speed is extremely fast at 1.0Gbps.

To be afraid of a mysterious hacking way which is aiming at TCP/IP holes, it seems to be effective that the encryption would be done also at the sender. Perhaps all the communication roots will be filled with encrypted communication.

The hacker’s screen must be filled with incomprehensible characters (^^;.

End.
